Imp and Flint start the eventing season at Somerly Park and Goring Heath Horse Trials.  Imp followed his best Dressage to date with a stunning double clear to finish 7th in a strongly contended Pre-Novice class at Somerly.  Flint didn't have such a good day at Goring but put his best foot forward in the showjumping.

Following the conclusion of our clients Hunting season at Christmas time, the yard got busy preparing for the Eventing season ahead.  We held and attended numerous training sessions with top professional trainers.  Check out the videos below for a glimpse of the busy preparation that's been going on over the past few months!

My new ride Lady Carmen, owned by Yvonne Ferguson proved to be a real  force to be reckoned with at BSJA event Pycombe Show Jumping.  A double clear in the first class gave a solid win, followed by a fast Jump Off in the second class to be beaten to first place by only 0.6 of a second.

We are delighted to say that Joanna Dillon and her horse Caitlin (Ard Duplicate) completed an excellent double clear at Badminton Grass Roots Horse Trials.  We are all thrilled with their accomplishment and top 25 placing!

The much anticipated Opening Meet took place today at Petworth House.  The weather was perfect and the huge field of 114 horses had a fantastic first outing.  2 of our longest standing clients Yvonne and Mark took their boys Imp and Flint and I tagged along on Cliff, the little WHP I have in at the moment.  It was a great first day and I think it's safe to say that there are 3 happy but shattered horses tucked up in their stables and 3 happy but shattered riders hitting the sofa in front of a fire tonight!!

Andrew returned this week to help us all along a little more with our flatwork, the lessons were a great success, we had some newcomers along as well who throughly enjoyed their sessions.
